You won’t drown. You can’t drown.
drowning in the tides of sadness is not how this story ends.
You’ve survived so much, lived many days that you never thought you would make the end of.
You would not drown.
Reading this post filled me with so much emotions because it’s a great thing to ask for help. Only the strongest of men do so.
I don’t know what to say as I am also learning to move through the tide of life , holding dearly to a rope tied to the hem of Christ’s garment hoping desperately that I don’t drown too . But I relate too deeply not drop a comment because i know that on some days, all we need is a I see you, I hear you ,and I relate to you.
Most men unintentionally are deeply misogynistic and can make you feel like a fool when you point it out because most times they can’t see it themselves.
What helps me is critically analyzing the way a person thinks and determining if I respect their thought process enough to listen to them. Most times I don’t.
I hope that in 10years time we can both come back to this post to see how much we have survived and how much better and happier life gets.
I see you sis,always.
For now, listening to a short video clip by benson Idahosa “God help me” has been keeping me afloat.
